Microwave Biscuit

A handful of cool stuff

Posted in Linux, ubuntu by microwavebiscuit on March 13, 2007

I found the following via a couple of different sites and one link leading to another…

First:
The Perfect Desktop – Part 3: Ubuntu 6.10 Edgy Eft | HowtoForge – Linux Howtos and Tutorials

Nice how-to on creating a complete Ubuntu system that has everything you might want to replace Windows.

Second:
Convert Physical Windows Systems Into Virtual Machines To Be Run On A Linux Desktop | HowtoForge – Linux Howtos and Tutorials

Convert your existing Windows machine to run as a Virtual Machine. This is awesome – I didn’t realize that VMWare made a product that can take an existing Windows machine and make it a VM.

Third:
VMware Converter for workstation to virtual pc and virtual machine migration: VMware – VMware

Direct link to the VMWare Converter product.

Hopefully I’ll have a chance to use the second two.
