Configure Logitech Mouse in Ubuntu

While my Logitech USB mouse works right out of the box, some of the extra buttons didn’t work until I did a little more configuration. There is an excellent “HowTo” in the Ubuntu forums which can be found here: Link to HowTo. I followed this guide pretty much exactly as is and now have all of the buttons on my mouse working as they should. The button that I really wanted was the back button on the mouse. I frequently use it when surfing the net to go back to the previous page.
