Today’s toy is Gnome Main Menu found at: Gnome-Main-Menu for Debian « french ninja. It is a cool little menu that can be attached to a panel. Easy to install – apt-get install gnome-main-menu and then right click on the panel you want to add it to (I put it on top) and choose add to panel “main menu”. What it does is allow you easy access to your most used programs (ala WindowsXP Start Menu) along with some quick system info. It doesn’t do anything that various other menus don’t already provide, however it collects them nicely together.
