Microwave Biscuit

I mentioned in an earlier post that I’m keeping track of this blog’s stats in an OpenOffice Spreadsheet. For work I use Excel on a regular basis and the adjustment to using OpenOffice’s Spreadsheet tool is going pretty well but that’s a topic for another post….

This blog has basically been up one month and the response so far has been awesome. Here are the particulars:

Hits: 2680
Comments: 33
Spam: 19
Posts: 74
Comments as a percentage of hits: 1.23% - This means roughly 1% of the people that hit this blog leave a comment. Or rather 1% of the time this site is displayed someone comments.
Comments as a percentage of posts: 44.59% - This means on average 45% of my posts generate a comment. This of course is a little off as there are many posts with no comments and some with more than 1.
Spam as a percentage of hits: 0.71% - Less than 1% of the hits result in a spam type comment
Spam as a percentage of posts: 25.68% - Again, roughly 25% of my posts have had a spam comment generated (on average).

So, over the last 30 days I’ve had a lot of fun writing this blog and I really appreciate all of the hits and comments. I’d like to improve the comments/hits ratio some so if you are in the 99% of folks who hit the blog but don’t comment - please leave some feedback!
